I associate horizontal stripes with nautical themes. I think of the pattern as classic and chic, but certainly not sexy. Horizontal stripes go well with ballet flats, brogues, and sneakers. They’re preppy and to a certain extent, very French. I can’t, however, think of stripes as anything but that. That is, up until I saw these pictures of Victoria Justice giving classic stripes a whole new spin.
As you can see, the young actress decided to team her striped off-shoulder dress with the most unexpected accessory — fishnet stockings — when she attended Primark’s store opening at Willow Grove in Pennsylvania on Thursday. She also finished the mix with edgy open-toe booties. The whole mix was sexy, yet unusual and surprising. Fortunately, Victoria managed to pull it off. Seriously, who would have thought mixing a striped dress with fishnet stockings could make sense?!
