Taylor Swift went edgy and futuristic at the MET Gala held in New York on Monday. Instead of the usual floor-length frocks, Ms. Swift slipped into a custom Louis Vuitton number that was short, sexy, and seriously badass. The dress came in metallic material and was printed with snakeskin pattern. It also featured a halter neckline, as well as cutouts to accentuate the singer’s shoulders and slender waistline.
What truly made Taylor’s outfit a winner, however, were the shoes she used to go with – strappy sandals that wrapped all the way up to her knees.

How do you like Taylor’s MET Gala style, ladies? Do you approve? Or does she look like she’s off to some gothic party?
I think she looks great. Sexy, edgy, futuristic, and cool. It’s the perfect attire for the occasion, which by the way, is themed Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of Technology. Sure, the gal we’re looking at in these photos is definitely not the Taylor we used to know anymore. But I think this makeover suits her. Would you agree?
Taylor’s whole outfit is from Louis Vuitton. The shoes are not available online, and neither is the dress. It is, after all, a custom piece created solely for her. However, if you’re digging the look and wish to channel it for, say, a party or an event, then grab a fit n’ flare haltered frock and cap off with gladiator sandals that fit your budget. Here are options to consider depending on how much you’re willing to spend:
Francesco Russo Buckled Leather Sandals, $1280
Alice + Olivia Naomi Gladiator Sandals, $550
NastyGal Stiletto to Toe Gladiator Sandals, $110
