She’s the Queen of the hit show, Empire, and that translated to real life when Taraji P. Henson attended the Entertainment Weekly Fest held in New York over the weekend. The actress joined a paneled discussion in a striking polka-dot ensemble of black and red. She then teamed the number with sexy strappy red suede pumps and gold jewelry. Complementing the mix were smoky-eye makeup, nude lip color, and a top knot.
Sure, the whole getup wasn’t as ultra glam as her character Cookie Lyon, but Taraji no doubt gave fellow female stars at the event a run for their money in the fashion department.

The shoes did it, of course. Gorgeous red high heels always transform an outfit; not to mention, they take you places and make you do things you wouldn’t normally do. They give a boost of confidence. When you wear a pair, you feel hot, sexy, and empowered. I think the same applies to a red dress. Noh?
