When people talk about Victoria Secret angels, the names Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Miranda Kerr, Gisele Bundchen, as well as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley come to mind. Of course, we all know there are other gorgeous ladies in the lingerie label’s roster. It’s just that they’re not as familiar. Over the weekend, however, one beauty managed to turn heads while she was hard at work in New York City — Romee Strijd.
Romee joined VS back in 2014, and on Sunday, she was spotted doing a photo shoot for the brand. Sorry gentlemen, she wasn’t decked in skimpy lace undies. Instead, the South African stunner wore a matching top and skirt printed in white checks. It was a light and airy getup; nothing fancy, in fact. However, the shoes she used to go with were what stood out to me — black pointed d’orsay flatform espadrilles.
Unlike most slip-on espadrilles or chunky wedge espadrilles, the pair was casual yet sophisticated and sexy. I would say they actually made the outfit. Check out Romee’s photos below, and then tell me if you agree:

I want a pair. Unfortunately, they are a tad pricey this is as far . The shoes are from Paul Andrew and will cost you almost $400. Dubbed as “Rhea”, the style is crafted from black suede uppers and woven jute midsoles. What ultimately makes them unique, however, is the silhouette. It is pointed at the toes unlike most espadrilles. It also comes with slim ankle-wrap straps for added sex appeal. If you fancy the design, you can find the espadrilles over at Barneys and Forward.
