Usually, she attends fashion shows in statement heels and well-appointed frocks. But at the Elie Saab Haute Couture presentation held in Paris this week, Olivia Palermo kept things laid back in flats.
The style star arrived at the venue in a sheer black lace dress from the designer’s pre-fall 2016 collection. The piece featured a short underlayer, so Ms. OP exposed quite a good amount of legs. She also uexpectedly used pointed loafers with the getup instead of the usual fancy stilettos. Finishing touches included a pair of cat-eye sunnies and a black leather belt.
I can’t say it was Olivia’s best fashion moment, but she looked chic, nonetheless. The mix was a little unconventional, though she pulled it off like a pro. Check out these photos, and then tell me if you disagree:

Well, any thoughts? How do you like Olivia’s fashion-week style this time? Think you can rock pointed loafers with a long lace dress to a dinner party?
You can already grab the dress over at Moda Operandi. It retails a whopping $7125. It is crafted from georgette and lace fabrics, and features a high neckline.
Olivia’s uber sophisticated pointed loafers are the “Gabby” from Jimmy Choo. The style comes in metallic leather, suede, and even tweed. Here’s a closer look at them. Some are on sale, so you might want to check them out:
Jimmy Choo Gabby Flat Slippers in Pewter, $507 (was $725)
Jimmy Choo Gabby Flat Slippers in Tweed, $338 (was $675)
The Gabby feature tasseled vamps, pointed toes, and no heels. The suede and tweed versions retail at $675, but the metallic pair on Olivia retails at over $700.
I agree, that’s too expensive, so if it’s the look you want minus the designer price tag, go with these loafers from Ivanka Trump instead:
By the way, for the gals interested in Olivia’s sunglasses, they’re from Fendi. They feature marble paneling at the outer rims. They’re very cute!
