She’s currently unemployed after exiting The Vampire Diares, but that hasn’t really stopped Nina Dobrev from attending events here and there.

The brunette cutie graced the Creative Arts Emmy Awards held in Los Angeles over the weekend. For the event, however, she did not wear the usual sequined or high-shine red carpet frock. Instead, Nina displayed her skills at mixing and matching by slipping into a long baby blue button-front skirt and a simple black tank top.

No, she definitely didn’t look like she was dressed for an awards show, but at least her fancy high heels made up for that. Besides, she looked really pretty so it was all good, I guess.

How do you like the outfit Nina put together? Do you find it sloppy? Do you wish she wore something dressier, or do you find the pairing she put together perfect enough for the red carpet event?

Honestly, I feel like she could have done so much better. The tank top looked ill-fitting and the wrinkles on her skirt were distracting. Then again, my hunch is she didn’t hire a stylist for the occasion. And if it’s any consolation, at least she didn’t look bad. AND, she did wear some gorgeous footwear.

Speaking of which, here’s a look at those statement shoes for you. They’re from Sophia Webster. Dubbed as “Poppy”, the pair features check-printed leather, cutout straps, tasseled ankle-tie closures, and 4-inch-tall heels.
