The off-shoulder top became quite a hit last summer. And while it is already fall season, that doesn’t exactly matter if you live in Los Angeles. The weather in La-La-Land is still perfect for cold-shoulder pieces, so naturally, ladies who love it take advantage.
One famous face spotted sporting the off-shoulder top on Thursday was Miranda Kerr. The leggy model wore the piece as she ran errands for the day. Unlike most off-shoulder tops we’ve seen on celebs last summer — which were white — Miranda’s was black. She used the shoulder-baring crop top with black high-waist skinny jeans and then capped off the combo with black ballet flats. For drama, the Aussie beauty wore oversized rectangular frames. It was a casual warm-weather ensemble that was sleek and chic, just as it was sophisticated.

Miranda sure doesn’t look like she’s 33 in these photos. If anything, she looks younger. Would you agree? Plus, I love how elegant she looks in the outfit. Don’t you?
You too CAN look as classy as Miranda in an off-shoulder top. It isn’t impossible because the outfit is easy to replicate and easy to pull off. The trick is to keep it monochromatic — in black.
No information was released on where Miranda scored the off-shoulder creation, but her jeans are by Frame and her sunglasses are by Saint Laurent. Below are the pieces. I also included a similar top just in case you want to grab it:
Frame Le Skinny Jeans De Jeanne Jeans, $205 / Winston White Ellie Off Shoulder Top, $45 (was $110) / Saint Laurent Paris Wave Sunglasses, $248
Miranda’s ballet flats are from Chanel. They’re obviously crafted from suede and leather materials, but a more updated version of the pair features velvet uppers and grosgrain cap toes. They are just as lovely, of course. But I’m sure they cost a lot of money.

If you wish to steal Miranda’s style for much less, I suggest you grab the Winston White top above, put on your best-fitting black skinny jeans (keep ’em cropped), and then cap off the combo with these flats from Trotters. They’re crafted from suede and patent leather materials, and will only set you back $105:
