I’m a big black-and-white fan, and I also fancy patterns, so when I saw Kerry Washington pack on the stripes at the Women’s Wear Daily and Variety inaugural Stylemakes event in California on Thursday, I just couldn’t look away. The actress wowed in an off-shoulder two-piece ensemble that was not only visually striking, but quite flattering as well. Kerry teamed the getup with defined eyes, pink lip color, and some fine jewelry. And as if she wasn’t contented with the striking getup, she punctuated the look with a pair of black-and-white pumps done in chevron and stripes.

What do you think of Kerry’s mixed-print attire, do you approve? Or do you think she overdid it?

I think she looks great. The outfit is youthful, fun, fresh, feminine, and sophisticated. A quick look-up on the dress gave me the name Solani. The frock isn’t available online, though, so you’ll need to be creative if you wish to get your hands on the piece.

As for Kerry’s chevron-print black-and-white pumps, they’re from Nicholas Kirkwood. A similar style with gold heels instead of black ones is actually on sale online if you’re interested. Below is a closer look:

These Nicholas Kirkwood pumps feature very slim 4.5-inch-tall semi-flared heels, pointed toes, and lowered vamps for a flattering fit. The good news is this version is on discount at $255. If you’re planning to grab a pair, better do so now. These shoes won’t stay available for long. A shorter interpretation with triangular block heels dubbed as the “Prism” can also be had if you’re interested.
