Katie Holmes hasn’t been exactly visible these days. Or perhaps, I should rephrase that and say the papz haven’t been as intrusive with her as they used to back when she was still with Tom, so in effect, we don’t see much of her on celebrity sites.
On Wednesday night, however, Katie stepped out to promote her new vigilante movie, Miss Meadows, in New York City. For the occasion, the actress donned a little white dress, but turned the pristine-looking frock edgy by topping it with a black leather jacket and capping off the combo with dark-eye makeup, a high updo, and some fierce exotic-skin heels.

How do you like Katie’s premiere outfit, do you approve?
I actually think she looks good here. The dress flatters her frame, and I love the dark-eye makeup. The shoes, however, look a little off. No, don’t get me wrong, I don’t think they’re ugly, but killer black pumps would have sufficed. Would you agree?
Speaking of the pumps, below is a closer look at the pair. They’re crafted from lizard-stamped leather and detailed with cutouts all over. The shoes also feature 4.5-inch-tall heels and pointed toes. They belong to Proenza Schouler’s spring 2011 collection so you won’t find them online anymore.

If you love exotic skin, you can easily find a lot of shoes with the same treatment online. For today, I’m not going to offer you alternatives, but instead, I’ll leave you with a couple of black killer heels I wish Katie could have worn with her outfit. Check them out below:
