During the 2015 MET Gala on Monday, Katie Holmes debuted an edgy bob reminiscent of the look she tried when she was still married to Tom. She used the new hairstyle to complement a beaded black gown created by Zac Posen. Her look that evening was elegant with the right hint of edge, and the hair definitely got everyone’s attention.

Despite some speculation that it was just a wig, a lot of people believed Katie really chopped off her locks because her hairstylist even posted pics of the “process” on Instagram.

Turns out, it was all a ruse. The following day, Katie attended the Alterna Haircare event with her long brunette tresses fully intact. Her locks were perfectly tousled, mind you — as in, print-ad worthy and picture perfect.
For the occasion, the actress kept things simple and casual by donning a textured while button-down shirt and a pair of blue skinny jeans. She then teamed the combo with colorblock mixed media sandals. Despite the lack of add-ons, she looked exceptionally gorgeous.

During the event, Katie gave her best poses to the press while standing on a glass table. The furniture was tiny and the material quite thin, so I was amazed that it didn’t break.

I’ve yet to get the details on Katie’s jeans and shirt, but I do know that her sandals are the Christian Louboutin “True Blue” in python mix. The shoes feature slim contrasting t-bars on the vamps, python leather heel cups, and wide cognac brown horizontal bands on the front. You can find the True Blue sandals online if you want a pair for yourself. They retail at a pricey $1095.
