I’ve always thought Karlie Kloss as a simple dresser. I think she is, but for the Cannes International Film Festival this year, the leggy model stepped up her fashion game.
While arriving at Nice airport early this week, Karlie showcased her quirky fashion sense by wearing a striped pencil skirt and a bright orange t-shirt for the plane ride. She complemented the combo with a black leather jacket, some tortoise printed eyewear, and a chain link purse. The highlight of her attire, however, were the shoes she used to go with. They were by far, the most interesting pair I’ve seen this month.

How do you like Karlie’s airport style, ladies? Do you approve?
It’s the perfect blend of edgy and quirky, and she pulled it off with flying colors. It’s a well-coordinated attire comprised of well-appointed pieces. I bet you wouldn’t mind wearing the whole getup. Yes?
Karlie’s skirt is from Alice + Olivia. You can score it over at Shopbop if you like it. The sunnies are from Paul Smith, but no longer available, while her luxurious purse is from Jimmy Choo.

That said, I know you’re all dying to know where Karlie got her look-at-me shoes. They’re from Kurt Geiger. Dubbed as the “Mayfair”, the pumps feature low 2.25-inch-tall cylindrical heels, pointed toes, a d’Orsay silhouette, and grosgrain ribbon laced through the vamps and then wrapped around at the ankles.

Like what you see?
The Mayfair pumps are available on the Kurt Geiger’s website. They retail at £180, which isn’t a very bad price. Yes, they’re not cheap, but at least they’re not ridiculously pricey either.
If you want to steal Karlie’s style, simply grab the pumps, and then pair with a striped skirt and a leather jacket. You can also grab them in taupe, if you prefer.

Fast forward to Thursday, Karlie was back to her simple self as she attended the amfAR Gala in an off-shoulder black gown that showcased her mile-long legs. She complemented the number with embellished Giuseppe Zanotti sandals. The style is no longer available, but I’ve included the more updated version below:
