Susan Sarandon and Julianne Moore showed up to support the premiere of a new documentary about famed playwright Arthur Miller. The two leading ladies attended the screening in New York Monday night for the HBO film directed by Miller’s daughter Rebecca Miller. Julianne, 57, was accompanied by her filmmaker husband Bart Freundlich, 48, while Susan, 71, posed for photos solo.
Susan was stylish in black slacks paired with a black leather biker jacket decorated with colorful floral motifs. She sported sunglasses and a jaunty hat. The actress had on brown boots and splashed red color across her lips.
Julianne was dressed for the chilly weather in a black winter coat over a black top and trousers. She added a pair of brown boots and wore her signature red hair loose with an off-center parting.
Bart, whom she wed in 2003, paired blue jeans with a black top and black jacket and added white trainers.
The filmmaker, who is married to actor Daniel Day-Lewis, made the documentary about her father using interviews she did with him over the years at the family home. It promises to explore both his successes and his failures as well as tragedies that he experienced including his marriage to, and the untimely death of, Marilyn Monroe. Miller, whose work included the celebrated plays Death of a Salesman and The Crucible, died in 2005 at the age of 89.
The Still Alice Oscar winner, 57, wore her signature red hair loose with an off-center parting.
She’s renowned for her chic and classic style and Julianne Moore certainly lived up to her reputation as she stepped out to a premiere in LA. Whilst her fellow A-list attendee Susan Sarandon channelled edgy vibes in a floral leather biker jacket, Julianne kept things classic in a black tailored coat and cropped black trousers.
She finished things off with a designer kick, thanks to her luxe tan boots by Céline. The unusual glove fit with pronounced toe detail really sets them apart from any ordinary pair!
