Hilary Duff has a new pair of boots, and they’re gravity defying. Well, not really, but they look like it. The Younger star was spotted sporting the pair while out and about in Los Angeles over the weekend. She wore the boots with black skinny jeans, a printed sweater, and large hoop earrings.

Alexander Wang Gabi Suede Ankle Boots, $650
They’re from Alexander Wang, and they feature cutouts on the thick block heels. The style is very similar to the designer’s iconic “Anouck” and “Kori” boots (see below), but with larger cutouts, taller heels, and more rugged-looking uppers.

I agree, with the cutouts, they seem quite impossible to wear. And it may certainly appear as though the heels will break at any moment. But I get the feeling the ergonomically unusual silhouette is both durable and comfortable. Will you give them a try?
