A breakup always makes a girl step up her fashion game. I think it’s part of the process. You try your best to look your best so people will think you’re doing fantastic and not nursing a broken heart.
If you follow Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s love life, then you probably already know they broke up this week. The split was announced soon after it was revealed that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are no longer a couple, and just right before Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama announced their separation (yes, the two finally ended their 6-year romance).
Now back to Gigi; the newly single model was spotted at the Maybelline Beauty Bash held in Los Angeles on Friday. For the occasion, she slipped into a dark blue frock that was seriously sexy. It was detailed with not one, but two slits on the front. It also came with a short hemline and a low-cut neckline to reveal Gigi’s slender legs and cleavage. She complemented the getup with vampy lips, clear-paneled pumps, and a wet-look hairstyle.

Let’s be honest, Gigi looks amazing in these photos. She sizzles in that dress. I guess she’s trying to show Zayn what he’s missing now that they’re no longer together? Or maybe she wants the world to know she 100% alright after the break-up.
Fashion-wise, what are your thoughts on her dress choice?
The frock is from David Koma. It isn’t available online, but you’re welcome to check out the nearest stockist in your city if you’re interested in getting it. Also, there is a slightly similar, albeit more daring, style from the designer that you can check out online if you’re open to it.

Gigi’s clear-paneled pumps, on the other hand, are from Gianvito Rossi. They feature 4-inch-tall heels, pointed toes, clear PVC panels on the sides, and uppers made from either leather or textile. The shoe style comes in many renditions. Gigi’s pair is crafted from suede and metallic leather, but you can also get the pumps in denim just in time for summer. Prices start at $745.
