I must hand it to Freida Pinto. The actress went against the norm as she attended a pop-up event during the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday.

For the occasion, the Slumdog Millionaire star skipped the high heels and instead, slipped into some uber comfortable flat metallic slides. She used the pair with a white embroidered dress and then topped off the combination with a white blazer. To add a touch of glamour, Freida wore orange mirror-lens sunnies.

How do you like Freida’s daytime look here? Do you think she should have worn high heels?

If she wanted to stay comfy, I think pair of flat jeweled sandals with straps on the back would have been more appropriate. Better yet, maybe a pair of wedges or block-heel sandals?

Don’t get me wrong. Those slides look promising, but not with that dress. Would you agree?

Now speaking of the slides, sources are saying they’re from Kurt Geiger. I cannot confirm that, though, because I couldn’t find the pair anywhere.

If you like the casual silhouette, however, you can go with these slides from Louise et Cie instead. In fact, if I didn’t know it, I’d say Freida’s slippers are from Louise et Cie. They even come with gold plates on the sides just like the Bonnie below:

How will you wear the Bonnie slides if you had a pair?

I’d probably go with denim cutoffs and a billowy top. But for Freida’s beautifully embroidered dress, these sandals from Miu Miu would be my choice of footwear:
