They say tiny girls shouldn’t wear too-high heels or too-thick platforms because such footwear will make them look even smaller. Eva Longoria, however, defies all these rules and still gets away with it.
The Desperate Housewives actress has been sporting sky-high platform heels since they became en vogue seasons ago. And while the rest of Hollywood have moved on and swapped their platforms for more ladylike shoe silhouettes (think pointy pumps, slim-strap heels, etc.), Eva has chosen to go against the tide and wear what she loves.
While making an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Thursday, the petite brunette slipped into some strappy platform sandals and a black skirt-suit constructed with avante garde details. The outfit was fashioned with a thigh-high slit to showcase her very toned legs. She complemented the mix with natural-looking makeup and barely-there jewelry.

How do you like Eva’s outfit?
It’s amazing how she gets away with wearing sky-high platform heels without looking short in the process. Maybe it’s because she has a very proportionate figure, yes? And in a way, those platforms really aren’t that thick.
Speaking of the heels, Eva’s strappy sandals are by Miu Miu. Below is a closer look at the pair. The shoes feature satin uppers, 5.75-inch-tall heels, and 1.25-inch-thick platforms. They also feature curved straps that wrap around the ankles:
