Emma Roberts — known for her effortlessly chic street and red carpet style — was spotted rocking head-to-toe yellow at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic event held at Liberty State Park in New Jersey on Saturday.
The young starlet wore a formal sleeveless floor-length frock for the occasion, but instead of slipping into a pair of strappy heels (which are the usual choice for such a dress), Emma went with a pair of thick and heavy platform wedges instead. A plaited updo, oversized eyewear, and a leopard-print purse were among her finishing touches.
To say the whole mix was unconventional would be an understatement. It was an unexpected combination — formal yet casual, polished yet a little rough around the edges — but for some reason, Emma nailed it perfectly. Check her out below, then tell me if you agree:
