Diane Kruger has always hit the right notes whenever she steps out for a red carpet appearance. During the InStyle Awards held in Los Angeles on Monday, however, the actress may have failed to impress a few fashion critics with her outfit choice for the evening. Diane wore a gold ankle-length dress detailed with cutouts on the shoulders. She teamed the number with red strappy sandals, a box clutch, and old-Hollwood style hair.
Everything was almost perfect, except that the dress was a tad sheer and it had an odd striped underlayer. I wasn’t too happy with her outfit, but you may think otherwise. Check out Diane’s attire, and then tell me what you think:

Diane loves to take risks on the red carpet, and she has always pulled it off in the past. I’m afraid she failed to do so with this one. Would you agree? If it’s any consolation, I love the sandals she used to go with. They are gorgeous!
