Demi Moore finally came out of hiding. The actress attended a charity event hosted by Goldie Hawn in Beverly Hills on Friday. For the occasion, she wore a rather interesting ensemble composed of a floral dress topped off with a long black coat detailed with fringes on the sleeves. Demi also complemented the combo with a pair of lace-up sandals detailed with white foldover “collars” at the ankles, as well as a multicolored box clutch. It was an unusual mix and not exactly the most appealing. Whether or not Demi pulled it off, you be the judge.

Well, lovelies. What do you think? Did Demi nail this look or fail to impress? Did she wear too many statement pieces?
I think the fringes on her sleeves broke the outfit. Would you agree? Had she worn a simpler coat, and maybe a less colorful purse, Demi would have looked fantastic in this whole getup.
That said, I actually find her shoes intriguing. The contrasting white foldover collars give the sandals a unique silhouette unlike any other. I have no doubt they’ll look great with cropped black trousers or a little black dress. It is quite unfortunate, though, because I couldn’t find any details on the pair. On a side note, I did come across these shoes from Chloe:

These sandals from Chloe feature multiple straps and one-of-a-kind “collar” details at the ankles. You can find them over at FarFetch if you like what you see. They retail at $788. If statement heels are what you’re looking for, you may also consider these feather-trimmed sandals from Ferragamo:
Edgardo Osorio x Salvatore Ferragamo Dream Sandals, $1250
But if you want a more practical and wearable pair that’s appropriate for spring and summer, go with these laser cut lace-up wedges from Jeffrey Campbell instead:
