A leggy Chanel Iman and her friend stopped traffic as they walked the Big Apple early this week. Both ladies were decked in catchy footwear, with Chanel rocking a pair of knee-high lace-up gladiator sandals and short black dress that exposed her long legs, and her companion sporting flat pompom-detailed lace-ups and a very colorful cardi. Both gals covered their peepers with dark eyewear and exuded that effortless model-off-duty glamour we all wish we could achieve.

Looking at these two will surely make you want to wear lace-up gladiator sandals. Yes? They make the shoes look like less intimidating. Between the two, whose sandals would you prefer? Which pair would you rather wear?
I pick both. I can’t decide. I’m not a fan of pompoms on sandals, but Chanel’s friend, Heidi, makes them look really cute and fun.
No details were released on their outfits, but if you’re digging Chanel’s style, then I recommend you get any of these gladiator sandals from Stuart Weitzman and Schutz:
Schutz Violetta Tall Lace-Up Sandals, $78 (was $260)
Stuart Weitzman Sparta Gladiator Sandals, $249 (was $498)
If it’s Heidi’s multicolored pompom-trimmed sandals you love, then you have several options to consider. Check out these fancy fringed lace-ups from Sam Edelman, Chinese Laundry, and Mabu by Maria BK:
Sam Edelman Gretchen Gladiator Sandals, $130
Mabu by Maria BK Embellished Leather Sandals, $200
Chinese Laundry Posh Embellished Sandals, $80
