Anne Hathaway went commando in a Tom Ford dress back in 2012. She unintentionally exposed the fact that she had no panties on while getting off her limo.
Of course, the photographers who managed to take pictures of the actress in the awkward position were more than happy to sell the pictures for big money. Fast forward to 2014, and it looks like Anne has not only moved on from her unfortunate mishap, but she has become even more daring as well.
During the Interstellar premiere in New York on Monday, jaws dropped as the brunette arrived at the event looking like a forest fairy decked in a sheer outfit . Anne’s dress was detailed with a mesh panel on one side to showcase her thighs and pelvis. The piece was also decorated with leaf-like appliqués that made the actress appear as if she was the Goddess of Nature. And while she kept her hair and makeup simple, Anne made sure her shoes were fashioned in the same theme.

I admit, after seeing Anne’s outfit, I was left speechless at first. But after looking at the dress for the nth time, I realized it wasn’t as sheer as I thought.
Sure, her thighs are exposed, but I think the dress is actually cleverly lined up to the area beneath her crotch. Just so you know, the dress is a Rodarte creation, hence the very couture appeal. Anne’s heels, on the other hand, are from Christian Louboutin. They’re the “Follies Resille” in classic black:

The pumps feature mesh uppers trimmed with black suede. They also come with slim self-covered 4-inch-tall heels. If you like what you see, you can score a pair in your size online. They retail at $795.
To steal Anne’s latest red carpet style for much less, you can try this lace-on-lace combination using a frock from Cameo and a pair of lace Kate Spade Pumps:
