Amy Schumer is in cloud nine this month. The comedienne is hopelessly in love with her new boyfriend, Ben Hanisch. He’s a hottie, by the way, which makes this budding romance even more exciting.

On Sunday, Amy attended the Golden Globe Awards (sorry, I’m not done talking about the Golden Globes yet). For the event, she wore a floor-grazing fit n’ flare frock detailed with pockets, a high-low hemline, and color block paneling. The piece flattered her figure fabulously. She teamed it with strappy pumps, a half-up hairdo, and some natural-looking makeup.
What was interesting to note, however, was how Amy kept her hands in her pockets the whole time. I mean, I can understand why she did it on the red carpet — she wanted to showcase the style of the dress. But post arrival, the blonde thespian was caught still sticking them (hands) in.

Hands in pockets aside, how do you like Amy’s Golden Globes style? Should she have worn something else, or do you find the outfit choice on point?
I think she looks wonderful. The dress, which is from Prabal Gurung, is both sexy and elegant. It’s no Elie Saab or Zuhair Murad, but it’s fresh, modern, and flattering.
I’m not too fond of how she complemented the number with strappy pumps, though. I mean, don’t get me wrong, the shoes are pretty, but they will look better with something else. For the gown, a pair of peep-toe heels or strappy open-toed sandals would have been the sexier choice.
Speaking of the pumps, I could not find any details on Amy’s shoes, but if you like the silhouette, these strappy pumps from Gianvito Rossi will give you the fix:

Personally, I would have preferred the sandal version of the Carey for Amy’s Golden Globes attire. There is more skin exposure involved so the effect is much sexier. Would you agree?
