Britney Spears channeled kinky fashion when she attended the 2016 Billboard Music Awards held in Vegas on Sunday. The singer arrived at the event in practically nothing but lingerie.
For the occasion, Brit wore a super short and sheer black lace dress — if you can call it that — with a long train on the back. Underneath the piece were matching undies. Not content with the drama the outfit was already making, Britney capped off the ensemble with to-the-thigh cage sandals.
I can’t say I approve of the getup, but like Lady Gaga and Madonna, she’s a performer. It’s her job to entertain. And I have no doubt she got what she wanted with her latest sartorial choice.

The dress is by Reem Acra. It’s quite sad, though, because she didn’t do it enough justice. I also cannot help but wonder where the bottom half (or perhaps under-layer?) went. Did she deliberately skip it? I’m dying to know.
That said, I’m quite drawn to Britney’s cage sandals. They remind me a lot of the studded pair Demi wore in her “Cool For The Summer” video, which were from DSQUARED2.

No info has been released on Britney’s sandals, but if you think they’re worth grabbing, you can go with these cage sandals from Steve Madden instead. They’re crafted from nubuck material and feature the same lattice-like cutouts. They also have lace-up closures on the back, just like Britney’s pair:

Now back to Brit-Brit. She switched her black ensemble to a racy red one for a performance onstage. Thankfully, as soon as she met with the press, she slipped into a more subdued-looking number — a mesh-paneled sequined crop top with matching skirt from Charbel Zoe Couture teamed with metallic ankle strap sandals.
