Emma Watson is quite the style star, but during the premiere of her new film, Regression, in Madrid, I was a little surprised by the look she chose. The British actress wore a printed tea-length skirt teamed with a black tank top for the occasion. She then complemented the getup with a messy faux bob and black ankle-wrap pumps.
The Harry Potter star didn’t look bad. The ensemble was feminine and elegant, but the hairstyle ruined it for her. Perhaps it was her intention. Maybe she didn’t want to look too polished and put-together for the event. Personally, though, a neat pony tail or bun would have been a better choice.
Check out Emma below, then tell me your thoughts:

Well, what do you think? Does Emma look perfect or did she fail to impress you this time? Do you wish she fixed her hair a little more?
Emma’s skirt is from Christopher Kane’s resort 2016 collection, while her shoes are from Paul Andrew. As to which season they’re from, that I’ve yet to find out. The style appears to be a perennial classic because the silhouette is always offered in the designer’s line-up each season. Here’s a taller open-toe version done in satin that is currently on sale:
Paul Andrew Europeaus Satin Covered Pumps, $330.75 (was $735)
Emma’s shoes come with mid-high heels. Worn with a tea-length frock or skirt, the combination creates a 50s-inspired getup that is very ladylike. If you want to steal the look for less, try these pumps from SJP Sarah Jessica Parker instead, but be sure to keep your hair in place.
Sarah Jessica Parker Tina Pumps, $350
For gals with expensive taste, feel free to check out these one-of-a-kind pumps from the designer. For sure, these will not disappoint you:
Paul Andrew Passion Slingback Pumps, $645
Paul Andrew Suede Chrysler Heel Pumps, $995
