I was not impressed with Nicki Minaj’s red carpet attire during the BET Awards held in Los Angeles on Sunday. However, she totally killed it as soon as she switched into an edgy two-fer number that showcased her figure and fabulous taste in footwear.
During the arrivals, Nicki wore an all-black zippered lace dress and some gold-detailed t-strap sandals. The getup was alright, but it lacked the oomph factor.

When she received her awards onstage, however, the iconic rapper swapped the so-so lace frock for a black-and-white knee length number detailed with an architectural bodice. She also teamed the second outfit with better-looking footwear, opting for a pair of exquisite tri-colored pointed t-strap pumps that left everyone feeling envious. No doubt about it, Nicki looked stunning in the getup.

I don’t know why she chose to wear the black lace dress for the red carpet arrival, but I’m mighty glad she decided to change. The second dress looks so much more appealing, not to mention, elegant. In fact, I sort of wish she wore it on the red carpet instead.
Nicki’s black-and-white frock is from Thierry Mugler’s resort 2015 collection. You can find the piece online. It is currently at 40% off over at Shopbop. Check it out below. It’s even more gorgeous up close:

As for Nicki’s uber exquisite t-strap pumps, they’re by Rene Caovilla (no wonder!). They’re crafted from a mixed of embossed leather, suede, and crystals. The shoes feature slim 4.25-inch-tall heels, three neutral colors of black, beige, and white, as well as crystal embellishments. Below is a closer look at the pair. They belong to the designer’s fall 2015 collection. If you like what you see, you can get them for $1555:
