The queen of effortlessly chic mommy-on-duty style — that’s Jessica Alba for those unaware — stepped out in a 70’s-inspired getup in Los Angeles last week. She decked herself in some high-waist wide-leg jeans and platform sandals while out and about with fellow mommy friends. Complementing the combination were a white t-shirt and a white blazer.
Had Jess put on some fake lashes and styled her hair in big waves, she’d have passed off as a someone from another era. Thankfully, the sophisticated bob did wonders to keep her looking more updated. She also lugged a white purse to tie the whole outfit together.

How would you rate Jessica’s 70’s-inspired street style? Will you give her a 10 or a lukewarm 8?
I like it, but I don’t think I can walk on the streets and shop around in those super high platform sandals. Speaking of which, here’s a closer look at the pair. They’re called “Gaynor” and they’re from Brian Atwood. The shoes feature cork and wood platforms and heels, as well as metallic gold uppers. They also stand at 5.5 inches tall so you’ll definitely get the lift you need, especially if you’re in wide-leg jeans or bottoms:

The Gaynor is an off-season style so you won’t find the sandals anywhere. However, if you fancy the silhouette, you can try these printed sandals from Atwood instead:

If it’s the cork element you love, you can go with these fierce cork wedges from Brian Atwood. These are currently on sale. Best to grab ’em while they’re in stock:
Brian Atwood Isotta Cork Mixed Media Wedge Sandals, $298.50 (was $995)
You may also try these nude platform sandals from Schutz as an alternative. These don’t come with cork, but the silhouette is similar. Plus, I love the woven material that covers the heels and platforms. They also retail at a more palatable $200:
Schutz Amatista Platform Sandals, $200
By the way, if you fancy Jessica’s wide-leg jeans, they’re from 7 For All Mankind. You can grab ’em over here. They retail at $215. Get 25% off if you purchase the jeans today using code 25MORE.
