The Victoria Secret Fashion Show took place yesterday. I’m a little bummed that I won’t be seeing it until it airs on December 10, but snapshots are abundant online so I immediately looked them up. Strangely, the person that got my undivided attention was NOT a model. It was Taylor Swift!
Taylor Swift performed several times at the event. You can actually catch a snippet of one of her performances on YouTube. Onstage she wore a dazzling dress full of sparkles, but it was the frock that she slipped into for the Victoria Secret pink carpet that really made my smile.
You see, Taylor arrived in a stunning black mini from Zuhair Murad that was sprinkled with multicolored sequins all over. She finished the outfit with sleek-straight tresses and a pair of sexy sandals from Dolce & Gabbana that were detailed with glittery ankle straps.
I seriously love the whole look she put together. Don’t you? It’s feminine, sexy, fierce, and all grown-up — certainly a far cry from the goody-two-shoes Taylor I used to know (or we all used to know).
To be honest, I actually prefer this new Taylor. She’s more real, and less princess-like. I also like the fact that she’s showing her sexy side more often.
Speaking of which, how about we copy her outfit for the holiday season? There will be lots of parties to go to, so you will need all the “ammunition” you can get.
