Malaysian-born shoemaker Jimmy Choo learned his craft early from his cobbler father before formalizing his footwear education at London’s Cordwainer’s Technical College, setting up a small shoemaking practice in a converted hospital building shortly after his graduation in 1983. The label grew into a household name in 1996, with a men’s collection following in Fall 2011, both known for their luxury fabrications and on-point silhouettes.
