To coincide with the upcoming 3-D stop-motion film, The Boxtrolls, Nike has teamed up with Laika on a limited-edition Roshe Run.

This Nike Roshe Run, also known as the ‘Trollstrikes’ edition, was designed by Tinker Hatfield. They feature a leather upper with burlap overlays, iridescent sewer-green heel panels, cobblestone-printed midsole, distressed leather Swoosh on the sides and a waffle-patterned outsole. Some other details include a twine heel loop, cheese-print sockliners, cardboard tongue labels, dual twine laces and steampunk lace locks.

Inspired by the film, every detail was considered in the design making this version of the Nike Roshe Run truly original and special. Other than that, each pair comes packaged in a custom, laser-cut shoe box featuring gear shapes and the movie tagline ‘Dare To Be Square.’ Decorative tissue paper inside the box unfolds to be the front page of the ‘Cheesebridge Cheesecloth’ newspaper, while Boxtroll Bandages (screen-printed Dri-FIT Elite socks) and a custom, screen-printed burlap shoe bag complete the package. All of the materials and packaging of the shoe were inspired by the Boxtroll Cavern and are made from the same Boxtroll-friendly materials found in the film.
