The cultural splendor of Tenochtitlan, the capital of the Aztec empire, was the stylistic inspiration for Giacomorelli’s SS15 collection. The young shoewear designer was inspired by pre-Colombian culture, celebrating not only its aesthetics but most of all its fine craftsmanship. The collection is opened by handmade sneakers with handcrafted inserts. Appliqué with optical graphic and geometric effects obtained through the combination of beads and white, black, golden and coral red small sequins are also incorporated. The references to Mexican aesthetics are also visible in the suede fringes and in the color turquoise.
