Sarah Jessica Parker channeled her alter ego, Carrie Bradshaw, when she attended The Art of Pixel Gala in New York on Wednesday. The seasoned actress turned fashion maven decked herself in a very Carrie Bradshaw-esque attire consisting of a long black lace dress from Tracy Reese that was detailed with a voluminous fringed skirt and a patterned Saint Laurent jacket. She complemented the combination with a Chanel fanny pack, Fred Leighton jewels, and a pair of strappy sandals from her own fashion line.

How do you like SJP’s latest red carpet style? Do you approve?
Topping the cocktail frock with an office-appropriate jacket was certainly unexpected, but she pulled off the combination like a pro. The same actually applies to the Chanel belt bag. I mean, only someone like Sarah Jessica Parker can wear something un-glamorous like a belt bag to a gala and still get away with it.
As for her choice of footwear, I think she did right by sticking to classic black sandals. I couldn’t find her shoes online, though, so I’m guessing they’re probably new and have yet to be released.
