The little white dress is one of those pieces you should always have in your closet — much like the LBD, or little black dress. For the gals who love to show off their shoulders and legs, a cute (read: short) trapeze-cut white halter frock is a must have. As it turns out, both Rihanna and Rosamund Pike fancy this particular style and decided to wear their respective white dresses to high-profile events last week.
Ri-Ri rocked her super short and ruffled LWD from Adam Selman at the designer’s spring 2015 presentation during New York Fashion Week. The popstar teamed the number with flirty white lace-up heels from Christian Louboutin.

Fast forward to Sunday and it was Rosamund Pike’s turn to flaunt her own version of the little white halter dress. The actress, who is currently pregnant, slipped into a billowy piece that came detailed with an asymmetric hemline for the screening of her new movie, Hector and The Search for Happiness during the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival.
Like Rihanna, she also chose a pair of Louboutins to go with the number. However, unlike the singer, Rosamund went for a more classic shoe design — peep-toe t-strap d’Orsay heels.

So here’s my obvious question for you lovely ladies, who wore the little white halter dress better, Ri-Ri or Rosamund? Do you prefer the way Rihanna teamed her frock with pointy lace-up Louboutins, or are you more into the way Rosamund finished her look with ladylike bow-detailed t-straps? And while we’re at it, whose Louboutins do you prefer, Rihanna’s or Rosamund’s?
Rihanna’s lace-up pumps are the Christian Louboutin Impera — the same shoes we spotted on Alessandra Ambrosio. They feature laser cut detailing all over, and a very flirtatious lace-up design. The singer reportedly has the Impera in an array of colors ranging from gold to black.

Rosamund’s Louboutins, on the other hand, are called the Belly Nodo. They feature a very ladylike, almost vintage-inspired t-strap silhouette detailed with a bow at the center. Much like Rihanna’s Impera pumps, the Belly Nodo t-straps also feature pin-thin heels. Here’s a closer look:

Both are sadly sold out online so you may need to check out marketplaces like eBay if you want to score a pair. You may also try these styles from BCBGMaxAzria and L.K. Bennett. They’re not exactly the same as the celebrity-approved Louboutins posted above, but distinct elements such as the laser cut detailing and bow trimming are there. Besides, I’m quite sure these alternatives are cheaper than those red bottoms:
