Halloween is coming up soon, so I thought I’d feature some shoes you can use with a costume. Not to worry, I made sure this short selection will only include footwear you can actually wear even after Halloween is done. Taking inspiration from movie and TV characters, check out the five shoe (and costume) ideas you can rock on All Hallow’s Eve. Which of these shoes and looks will you go for?
1. Helen of Troy / The Greek Goddess
Channel Helen of Troy (portrayed by Diane Kruger) and look like a Greek goddess in these strappy knee-high gladiator sandals from Privileged. Teamed with gold heels and buckles, these ultra-fashionable statement shoes will no doubt add a dose of drama to your simple white Grecian attire.
Privileged Miley Strappy Knee-High Gladiator Sandals, $200
2. Serena – Gossip Girl / The Sexy School Girl
How about a school girl costume instead?
Get cute and sexy by channeling Serena Van der Woodsen of Gossip Girl. Slip into a mini skirt and white button-up shirt, then cap off with a tie and some uber glam chain-detailed platform Mary Janes from ZigiNY.
ZigiNY Skull Jane Pumps, $160 (was $170)
3. Princess Leia – Star Wars
If it’s the classic Princess Leia look you’re going for this Halloween, keep things interesting by pairing your all-white costume with these edgy peep-toe booties from Lust for Life. Pick a costume with a slit so you can flaunt your fabulous heels.
Lust for Life Fame Booties, $180
4. The Baroness – G.I. Joe
Who’s up for the uber cool Baroness from G.I. Joe?
Keep things dark, sexy, and sultry by slipping into black leather from head to toe. Cap off your costume with these multi-buckled boots from JustFab. They’re sleek, tough, and completely fit for fall too.
JustFab JF Harley Buckled Boots, $64
5. Maleficent
Want to channel dark and beautiful?
Then simply channel Maleficent. But put a different spin to your look by slipping into these chain-detailed cutout booties instead of the usual knee high boots. The faux snake texture is the perfect complement to your highly intimidating attire. And once Halloween is done, feel free to rock them booties with your skinny jeans and mini dresses.
