Emma Stone arrived at the Oscar Awards venue in a stunning beaded frock by Elie Saab teamed with matching open-toe heels from Christian Louboutin. The gown was a gorgeous color of chartreuse, and so were her shoes. In fact, the whole ensemble, in my opinion, complemented her pale skin beautifully. She capped off the getup with red lips and a loose sideswept  updo.

Surprisingly, not everyone was pleased with her outfit choice for the evening. Some found the color unflattering; others thought it was ugly, while there were those who simply thought she looked too washed out. Check out Emma’s Oscars outfit below, then you be the judge:

Well, what do you think, did she nail the look or fail it? Hit or miss?

I think she looks lovely. Sure, the head-to-toe yellow treatment looks a little much, but I think she managed to pull it off. Don’t you?

I’ve yet to get the details on Emma’s Louboutin shoes, but the silhouette looks very similar to the “Pensamoi”,  only minus the floral appliques. Below is a closer look at the Pensamoi for you:

What do you think of my hunch? Is it close?

If you fancy Emma’s yellow outfit and you’d like to give the look a try, you can try these heel styles from Kate Spade and Badgley Mischka. Both will look great with formal dresses:
